On 10 June 2026, the General Assembly of Innovative Medicines for Luxembourg (IML) approved a revised version of the IML Code of Ethics. The updated code introduces several targeted changes, including new provisions on complaints, a dedicated patient complaint mechanism, updates to member definitions, and the introduction of a new Annex 5 on Lifelong Learning in Healthcare.
In parallel, IML has updated its hospitality guidelines. The maximum amounts for meals provided to healthcare professionals in the context of scientific meetings have been indexed as follows:
- Lunch: EUR 54 (including beverages; minimum 1 hour of scientific content)
- Dinner: EUR 108 (including beverages; minimum 2 hours of scientific content)
The limits for accommodation and transportation remain unchanged:
- Hotel accommodation: maximum EUR 250 per night (VAT and breakfast included)
- Car travel: maximum EUR 0.40 per km.
