The remuneration for services provided by healthcare professionals (HCPs) should be proportionate to the services rendered. In order to ensure this, maximum hourly rates are imposed.
From January 1, 2022, these maximum hourly rates will be indexed. The level of hourly rate is based on the level of education of the HCP. The Dutch law (Beleidsregels gunstbetoon Geneesmiddelenwet) refers to the deontological code regarding the hourly rates, and therefore these maximum rates are binding for every MAH who sets up an engagement with a Dutch healthcare professional.
